2010 Hutt River Duck Race
The 2010 annual Duck Race was held on the Hutt River today. This is the third running of the annual duck float off between Melling and Ewen Bridge in Lower Hutt.

The event supports local charities Wellington Free Ambulance, Te Omanga Hospice, Coastguard and the Gillies McIndoe Institute.
The winning individual duck this year was number 1694 and the corporate duck winner Instant Finance.
Note the special entry by NZ Police in the footage with red and blue flashing lights just one of the 60 odd “blinged-up” oversize corporate ducks.
Great fun had by those that entered both individual and business alike plus the added bonus of entertaining the kids.
